
MLS TRANSFER CHECKLIST
Client Guide – For A Smooth Transition and Setup
BEFORE YOU TRANSFER
Confirm if a Letter of Good Standing is required
Join SDAR/SDMLS
Each MLS requires its own login ID and manual configuration. One login across MLSs is not supported.
ACCOUNT SETUP & ACCESS
Receive your new User ID and login URL
Log in to your MLS system (Paragon)
Update your:
Profile photo
Email signature
System preferences
LISTINGS (Important)
Pending listings stay with originating MLS until Closed
Review all Active listings with your current MLS
Confirm plan with your broker:
Keep listing active until closing
OR withdraw and recreate
If recreating listings:
Withdraw listing in originating MLS
Re-enter listing in new MLS
Match original:
Price
Listing dates
Property details
Upload photos and documents
Go back to previous MLS system and finalize the duplicate Withdrawn listing
CONTACTS (Data Migration)
Export contacts:
CSV file
vCard file
Import into your new system or CRM
Verify all contacts transferred correctly
Rebuild Collaboration Center preferences
REBUILD YOUR TOOLS
You will need to recreate:
Active listings
Saved searches
Unpublished / Partial listings
CMAs (market analyses)
Custom reports
Saved spreadsheets
Email templates/signatures
System preferences
THIRD-PARTY SETUP
Set up SentriLock / SentriKey (new account/login required)
Update or reconnect IDX services
Confirm website and MLS integrations are active
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
Share updated listing links (if applicable)
Notify clients of any MLS changes
Ensure marketing remains active and uninterrupted
FINAL CHECKS
No duplicate listings across systems
Listings comply with MLS rules
Track your production using your DRE#
